Pituitary apoplexy with pituitary macroadenoma

Headache decrease visual clarity, malaise, weight loss. Clinically suspicious of cerebral space occupying lesion.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

Well marginated tumor in the sellar to suprasellar region with an intratumoral hyperintense area in an isointense mass on T1, which become more hyperintense on T2.  Heterogenous enhancement after contrast administration. DWI showed restricted diffusion.

Case Discussion

A biopsy was performed and after resection, the pathology was of a pituitary adenoma.
