Known SAPHO syndrome for several years

The findings described on the thoracic radiograph are seen more clearly, with hyperostosis and fusion of the first costo-sternal articulations. Hyperostosis of the right medial clavicle.

Case Discussion

Confirmed case of SAPHO syndrome. With the findings on the radiographs, chronic osteomyelitis might be considered. However, this patient had MRI several years earlier which showed very little bone edema. There was little change of the imaging appearance over 15 years of follow-up.
