1.7cm irregular filling defect on the posterior aspect of the right side of the urinary bladder (7 o'clock) protruding into the bladder lumen.
This lies immediately lateral to the ureteric orifice but does not cover it. No extraserosal extension.
Both kidneys concentrate and excrete normally. No filling defect in the collecting systems or ureters.
The solid organs of the upper abdomen are unremarkable.
Typical appearances on CT of a focal transitional carcinoma (TCC) of the urinary bladder.
Cystoscopy and cystoscopic biopsy confirmed a TCC.
