Weber syndrome

History of right hemianaethesia and hemiparesis with dropping of left eye lid

Patient Data

Age: 60 years old
Gender: Female

An area of diffusion restriction is seen involving the left crus cerebri displaying bright signal on T2 and FLAIR suggesting infarction in subacute stage.

Case Discussion

Weber syndrome is one of the brainstem infarction syndromes characterized by affection of the cerebral peduncle (contralateral motor and sensory loss) and oculomotor nerve (ispilateral ptosis and mydriasis).
